Bought a 2012 Sorento in May 2011. Overall a good car and my wife loves it- except for one thing: The voice-activated GPS system does not work in my area (Las Vegas.
The dealer installed a new one that didn't work either and than discovered that all of the 2012 Sorento's on the lot had the same defect. KIA says that it is a software issue confined to the Las Vegas area and that they're working the issue. I bought the car in May 2011 and it's now mid-October and nothing but sporadic updates from KIA customer service saying that they are working the issue.-no date of when it will be fixed. They are becoming very frustrating to work with and this was something that was broken the day we bought the car.
I am wondering if the Las Vegas area dealers are selling their 2012 Sorentos without telling the customers about that defect. Maybe I'll look into that...
