Hello,
I purchased my Kia EV6 on 1-11-2023. I am very happy with my purchase, however I was depending on the
rebate to soften the blow of "market adjustment" that I had to pay.
I have been checking the CVRP website almost daily but the 2023 Kia EV6 paperwork has not been submitted yet. I called CVRP to confirm and they also said the paperwork from Kia has not been submitted for that vehicle. When I looked at the approved vehicles I noticed that Kia (Niro, Sportage PHEV, Sorento PHEV) have all been approved for 2023. But not EV6.
I am a retired and do not qualify for the federal tax credit.
I have 2 days left to meet the deadline for the CVRP rebate. Please advise if the paperwork will be submitted soon and./or there will be an extension for EV6 customers due to this bump in the road.
User's recommendation: Beware of the CVRP. They are firm on their rules, even when the problem is the mfg's.

I bought a new 2023 Kia K5 October 26th. One month later I started having engine problems, my low engine oil light came on while I was on the highway a couple of hours from home.
I had to go buy a quart of oil before trying to make it back home. This happened a couple of more times where I had to bring it back for my oil to be topped off and finally I was told to let them keep it to figure out the problem. I was told that my brand new K5 needed a new engine. I would not of had a problem had this happened a year or so after having the car but someone clearly dropped the ball.
I called Kia customer service and was told well this is why there is a warranty. The time and stress this has given me is not acceptable. This is my 3rd Kia and my second K5. I will not be buying anymore Kias after this.
Let me just add that the service manager Chris could not of handled this any before. He has communicated with me every step of the was and very apologetic about the situation.
Preferred solution: I would like to get my car payment reimbursed for one month if possible. I have been dealing with this issue since November

Our 2017 Kia Sorento flashed an error code, when we investigated it came back as the oil pressure switch. We brought it to Bergstrom Kia in Appleton where it was purchased, they confirmed the diagnosis and fixed the problem.
This was in November of 2022. Two weeks ago our check engine light came on and the car started idling rough as well as lost some power while driving. Checked the code at a parts store and it came back simply as an injector issue. Called the Kia dealer and after hearing the price to fix one injectors ($500-$700) decided I would replace them myself.
When I got into the injectors, the one that was directly next to the oil pressure switch had the wiring connector fall off, it came unplugged on its own. I proceeded to replace the injectors and spark plugs and put everything back together. When I checked the code with a more advanced code reader (original code as it had not been cleared since I parked it to fix everything) it came back that there was a break in the circuit to that injector, which means that it came unplugged on its own from the repair the dealer completed in November. Everything is working wonderfully now and love the vehicle still.
I am not impressed though that the dealer did not double check connections before allowing me to pick it up and drive the over 100 miles back home. Then would have charged me hundreds of dollars to diagnose and issue that I feel they created. I am currently out of warranty on this vehicle anyways so will be doing the majority of repairs myself, however when things come up (oil pressure switch) that do have an extended warranty (thank you for that by the way, we were very impressed with the responsibility taken by KIA to address that) I would like to take it to a dealer. That is going to be harder to do though having seen the lack of care that was taken with this issue and considering the travel that needs to be incurred to get to the dealer.
I am not looking for any type of compensation, I just wanted this to be passed along since we have been very happy with the car overall, and we were happy with the service we received from the couple KIA dealers (Bergstrom and Dorsch) to this point.
Was a bit of a disappointment however to find what the issue was and that it probably did not need to happen. Feel free to call to discuss if more information is needed.

Hello , my daughter has a 2017 Sorento. The engine was using excessive oil.
Number one cylinder failed. It only has about 60 thousand miles on it. They are still making payments on the vehicle. Her husband is a school teacher and doesn't make a lot of money.
The dealership in south hills, pa told them they would have to buy a new engine. Corporate told them to get a second opinion??? So they had it towed to a different dealership. This dealership told them that they could replace the engine, but they would have to pay $3,800.00.
Of course my daughter cannot do that. So the dealership said they could trade it in for another vehicle. I know all these tricks of dealerships. My daughter always took the Sorento for an oil change every 3,000 miles.
Has all the receipts. The engine failure was a defect in the engine as were many other kia's during the same and previous years. They loved their Kia,, but now are very frustrated as you can understand. They have been borrowing a car so they and their children can get around.
I'm hoping that Kia can help them out by giving them a new engine at no charge, including labor. I know that if you help them, it would be good for business. I know that South Hills Kia near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania was no help at all. I worked in television for years before my retirement.

Please contact them very soon so the dealership doesn't talk them into trading it in, because you know the what the dealership has in mind.

Hey, good time.
I bought the Kia Sportige 2023 car, but unfortunately with the tablet I bought the connector is not the newest tablet Samsung S8 tablet, but Android auto unfortunately does not know there is much bug in this section and the new machines of other companies can be connected without cable to the car but in the new car Kia Sportige unfortunately does not and this is a big problem because it is behind the competitors
And another point with the iPhone phone full screen is displayed on the screen but on Android unfortunately this does not happen
Will the Kia update give these problems a fix?

My kia sportage 2023 have a problem in front rotors disk..
The car around 8.000 miles start have a big vibration anytime use the break.
I went 5 time in dealer, they cut 2 time te rotors disk and this problem follow and damage also the pads...
Kia motors don't authorize the Dealer for change the rotors disk..the unic solution for solve this problem.
I'm very Angry..because this car have just 7 months life is new and have a warranty...
kia is not serious...
I pay 40.000 dólares for this car...and probably they wait for due the warranty ...so I must pay the rotors replacement from my wallet...
Absolutely I'm not glad about this comportament...
Also I live far from the Dealer..and I lost time, money, gas without solved nothing
