the bank repoed a 2008 kia sorento,, 42 k on it,, engine died,, kia rep pulled the dipstick and said the oil waasnt changed and red flagged it with no waranty,, this vehicle came to my shop,, previous customer has oil change records for the past year only,, and every 3000 miles,, kia wanted them all,, kia never even did any sort of inspection or diagnois on this vehicle,, after removing the intakee manifold and doing a compression check i had no compression on any of the right side cyliders,, found that the timing chain on that side has jumped,, and bent the valves,, very amazed by kia's rep,, to be able to pull a dipstick and tell whats wrong,, he said the oil was burnt on the stick,, funny,, it wiped right of with a shop rag,,,they said the customer told them to keep the vehicle after they denied there claim,,, after spending that much money on a new vehicle,,, i would have told them WHERE to keep it too,,, this will be ending up in court im sure with the back against kia 1290b0b

Nobody reads the contract....

IN WRITING - that the buyer SIGNED, this was all stated before a penny exchanged hands.

In order to qualify for the warranty - the driver has to submit to the rigorous maintenance of the factory's specifications. This means an oil change every 3k, from start to finish, not whatever paperwork the buyer happens to have pieces of.
