I had the crank pulley bolt recall done on my 2004 Kia sorento in November 2007. In July 2007 it failed, leaving me and my wife stranded on the side of I-10 in Louisana. Kia paid for the repairs which included a new short block. When I picked up the car and was on my way back home (1400 miles away), I lost oil pressure. I limped the car to the nearest hotel and dropped the oil pan. OH DEAR LORD!!!!!! I think the dealership used the oil pan as a garbage can". There was old gasket material, RTV and other assorted objects in there which clogged the oil pick up tube/. This is also when I noticed that they had not replaced any (top or bottom) of my engine covers?.

In November of the same year (6,000 miles later) the bolt failed again:. This started the dealer war!. One said that it was the other ones fault and Kia said "just fix it",.

Now, last week, it failed again and Kia says they're not going to to pay for repairs:. Since I had not found that anyone had started a class action lawsuit, I contacted a lawyer about starting one,. If you would like in on it please contact me via e-mail at 129042e
