This vehicle was purchased in May 2013 at the Earnhart Kia in Phoenix on Bell road and since the summer of 2013 this vehicle has experienced at least a dozen times where the vehicle will not start due to a failed Alternator Regulator which only emits 13.3 volts compared to the 13.5 volt minimum required. As a result the battery does not charge properly and so on several occasions I have been stranded and in need of battery jump.

As a single woman this is very stressful. I have visited this dealership in an effort to have the alternator replaced but was not advised the Alternator was 'Good' when Autozone specifically tested the Alternator and found the regulator faulty which in turn causes the Alternator to not charge the battery properly. I specifically purchased this vehicle due to the 100k mile warranty and have found that not only does Kia not intend to stand by the warranty, they also train their staff to 'pitch' excuses not to warranty certain items. I will never purchase another Kia after this experience and i do not have the funds to replace the alternator but plan on selling this vehicle as soon as it is paid in full.

I also have advised my friends, family members and co-workers of this experience.

Very disappointed to say the least and at a dealership I genuinely felt cared about the buyer and/or consumer. Shame on you.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Location: Phoenix, Arizona
